Joana Lee (b. 1980, Lisbon) grew up in a coastal town where kids would wander outdoors. Later in life, after graduating as an Anthropologist, she decided to leave and move to Amsterdam where she has been ever since. When first confronted with the harshness of dutch winter she found herself staying indoors a lot more than she was used to back in Portugal. During this period she started designing t-shirts and soon Parkarma was born. Since its official day in the winter of 2007 Parkarma has been steadily evolving into a greater project. Parkarma's latest achievement has been the opening of a brick and mortar shop. Since then JL has been fully busy running all aspects of her growing company.
Parkarma Shop opened its doors on the 1st of September 2012. It is a small local shop based in Amsterdam. In it you will find unique, handmade, fair and ethical products made by different crafters around the world. All the products in the shop are destined to responsible consumers who demand having a sustainable shopping footprint.
Parkarma Webshop carries most of the shop's goods though there will be shop exclusives that won't make it to the website, sorry about that. If there is something you seen in the shop, really liked, and now can't find it online you can always send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our very best to hook you up.
